The required process steps for the implementation of the plan are very important. These processes will guide through some important steps that are essential for the enhancement of learning and elimination of barriers in bedside handover using ISBAR that can lead to a successful implementation of changes. Identifying the weaknesses of the clinicians in following the implemented guideline for bedside handover is one of the important processes for achieving changes in the acute care settings. Nurse’s dissatisfaction with the new-implemented policy about bedside handover is one of the many obstacles, however it can be overcome if the manager will provide a clear reasoning as to the importance of bedside handover. At the same time allowing the nurses to be part of the process in bedside handover with ISBAR will provide a positive feedback on the improvement of a successful implementation (NSQHS 2012). Meanwhile, the failure to articulate the change and giving a limited time frame for the implementation by the managers is another obstacle. However, by providing or creating a clear vision for what this changes will bring to both the nurses and patients could bring a quality of care that can provide strength and allow the smooth process of the implementation. Moreover, the level of comfort in relation to sharing patient’s sensitive information can hinder improvement in bedside handover. Giving justification and assurance to the nurses about their concerns with patient confidentiality will facilitate improvement in the quality of care. Adapting an acceptable practice for bedside handover with clear communication and ongoing training will somehow eradicate this
