Every kid wants to experiment when they are younger. Some of us just seem to make a massive mess when we do it. Of course our parents always tell us that we should be careful not to stain our carpets with anything, and that is where I made my mistake. I was sitting in my room bored with nothing to do. May I remind you that this is not a good thing for a seven year old to be doing. I was thinking about what I should do, and it came to me. I wanted to make a colorful painting! I ran upstairs and asked my older sister if she wanted to help me with the painting, and she replied with a very rough tone, “No, I don’t feel like painting right now.” I wasn’t surprised she said no. So, I asked her if I could use some of her make-up and paint instead. She said yes, without looking up from the book that was holding her attention.
As I went through all of her colorful make-up, I saw at least eighty different shades of eyeshadow, varying from vibrant purples to chocolate browns. I thought maybe I could use a couple of these colors. I couldn’t take just some of the colors from the pallet though, so I took them all with me. I kept on searching

I laid out a large piece of paper on the floor. I grabbed the bottle and went to the bathroom. I filled the bottle about a third of the way full of warm water. Then I mixed in my favorite eyeshadow colors I had picked from the pallet. I used a butter knife I had gotten from the kitchen to scrape the eyeshadow into the bottle. I shook the bottle vigorously until the eyeshadow was thoroughly mixed. I spritzed the watery substance onto the paper and it left a colorful spider web type pattern all over the paper. I got out the lipgloss and began spreading it across the length of the paper with the applicator. I also used an eyeshadow brush I had found and dipped it in a glob of the Rockstar Gold paint and lathered the paper in it. The paper was covered in a mixture of

In the book “The Naked Roommate” by Harlan Cohen there are five tips that I could take out and apply to my life about my own health. The first of the five tips is “Freshman 15, or um 45”, I can apply this to my life because it applies to my weight. Being able to control my eating at my house where there aren't multiple fast food restaurants and an all you can eat buffet at Larson's commons was a lot easier than college. It can be hard to control myself from the temptations, but when I notice myself gaining weight it makes it a lot easier to want to go exercise and eat healthy. The second tip that can apply to me is “The student body image”, because body image is something that is very important to me.…

Case Study Discussion Questions A. How are patients prioritized for bed assignment? I do not believe this case study talks about prioritization of beds. The case study mentions that “bed assignment is made on the basis of level of care required, the doctor preferences in the choice of the nursing unit, and the scope of care supported by the nursing unit”. The hospital I work for has a bed control department and the members of the bed control departments are basically triage nurses.…

The two diagrams demonstrates how heating a house occurs using a pellet stove and a boiler. For a pellet stove to operate, first, wood pellets are loaded in the fuel hopper where it descends to the fuel feed. These pellets are then burned in the combustion chamber and ashes fall in the ash pan below it. Hot air rises and finally distributed through the combustion fan. The smoke from this process goes to the exhaust duct, located in the rear of the machine.…

I intended to show a player with great passion and love for the game. I wanted to show a struggle, but that he has the heart and determination to keep going and never give up no matter what challenge he faces. I wanted to freeze a highlight in time so it can be remembered forever. My painting contains the home team quarterback backpedaling to dodge the best player he has ever faced. The curved lines in the shoulders and arms of both players leads the eyes from a single side of a player to the center point of contact.…

In this extract Charlotte creates a Negative atmosphere that surrounds the Red Room. Bronte uses a variety of devices and techniques to highlight the atmosphere of the room in which Jane is thrown into for misbehaving. The name of the red room itself creates an atmosphere of anger and passion, the colour connotations of red are determination, power and desire which are seen as negative emotions that create a negative atmosphere. Bronte injects this colour throughout the extract as the room is filled with red: arguably, this could portray Jane’s emotions however the room could also be used to make Jane feel these emotions more in depth which could be reflected through the repeated use of “deep”.…

Although the sixteen students of Honors Seminar 200-011 are similar in hundreds of ways, our answers to eight basic questions concerning the honors house walk through contained more variations than similarities. Even for simple questions with one correct answer, such as “how many chairs are in the courtyard,” our responses ranged from two to two hundred, and the class debated the definition of a chair. Discussing something as basic as a chair versus a bench versus a couch demonstrates the variety of ways people can interpret each question, no matter how elementary, so even though there are nine chairs in the courtyard, there is no concrete answer. This chair conversation peaked my interest because I had never considered the possibility that…

I knew Professor Flower was my favorite professor when he stated “I will never repeat an outfit”. From day one he presented himself with so much integrity and seemed to have a great deal of authority but wills it with such grace to the point where you can’t help but wish to become him. His gentleman like demeanor lingered in the air and it was contagious. He presented himself as the strap up your boots and make it happen type of man (but he wouldn’t actually be wearing boots, of course, more like loafers). He also talked about our perspective on life which he reference to a small box and not only how his class but how completely an observation report was going to expand our small box.…
