In Jordan, I spent a night with a bedouin camp. The camp I stayed at was in Wadi Rum, also known as “The Valley of the Moon.” It is a valley cut into sandstone and granite rock in southern Jordan, which is also the largest and most beautiful valley in Jordan. There were many sharp cliffs and red sand dunes that have provided homes for the bedouin camps for ages. The camp I stayed at lived in cliffs. They herded goats and sheep. The camp was very busy with different crafts. They would paint their faces with unique designs. Children were drawing in the sand and playing small games. Women spent a majority of the day weaving wool rugs, blankets, tents strips, saddlebags, and camel and horse strapping. All of it incorporated intriguing colors and
