The objective of the Isopods Lab was to figure out if the Pillbugs favored the wet environment or a dry environment. After reading the pre-lab report on Pillbugs, my hypothesis was that “If water is added to an Isopods environment, then the isopods will favor the wet environment.” By using two groups of Isopods, one group was put into a dry environment and the other had one drop of water into their dish. After ten minutes of observing the Isopods, the results showed that the Pill Bugs prefer the wet environment more. As time went on, the bugs in the wet environment survived longer than the Isopod in the dry environment.…

Analysis: There are several instances where the number of pillbugs in the light are equal to the number of pillbugs in the dark. It’s difficult to decipher a pattern in the data. The pillbugs seem very indecisive and continuously move between chambers. However, if one disregards the data where the number in light and dark are equal, there are three times where the amount in light is higher and only two times where the amount in dark is higher.…

It was a cold summer night and I could see the sun setting over the lake as I was arranging the lawn chairs around the campfire. I tried to dodge the clouds of gnats as I was running back and forth getting all the cards, snacks, and music ready. Just as I finished I saw the thirty teenagers walking up the long path to the camp directors house ready to participate in an evening activity I planned for them. I watched the girls race to get seats on the lawn chairs and helped the others find seats so they didn’t have to sit on the wet grass. The girls were laughing and having fun…
