Benefits of Being Vegan Imagine not ever eating anything produced from any animal ever again , and living the vegan or plant based diet, this is a huge step if anyone is willing to actually take on this life changing lifestyle. Becoming vegan can change someone's life dramatically, it truly forces one to cut out at least half of what they would eat on a daily basis and what you buy at the store. Becoming vegan can make someone or break someone, this is how extreme this lifestyle is. Anima l products are loaded with bacteria, antibiotics, hormones, dioxins, and a host of other toxins that can cause serious health problems in humans. So in reality whenever someone eats meat they are putting themselves at risk with these chemicals. GMOs are a huge controversy in the food industry. GMOs or genetically modified organisms. Most developed nations do not consider GMOs to be safe and have significant restrictions or outright bans on the production and sale of GMOs. The U.S. and Canadian governments, though, have approved GMOs. By not putting these harmful chemicals into your body you lower the risk dramatically of getting colon cancer, diabetes and can just be an overall healthier person. “So I am living without fats, without meat, without fish, but am feeling quite well this way. By giving up meat you're helping out the environment.There are many way that cause harm to the environment that are a product of raising cattle, chicken or any other meat or dairy product. When land is not used to grow crops but instead torn up to raise cattle; it causes the lost of precious water and valuable soil that is engraved and preserved in the land .Trees get cut down in order to build factory farm sheds.The sheds that are built, pollute the environment as well as rivers and streams get polluted that are nearby.” In fact, it has such a devastating effect on all aspects of our environment that the Union of Concerned Scientists lists meat-eating as the second-biggest environmental hazard facing the Earth. Raising cattle takes up tons and tons of water . It takes close to 2,500 gallons of water for a cow to produce one pound of meat , but it takes nearly 25 gallons to produce one pound of wheat.
