Some people disregard being a donor for several different reasons that could easily be nothing to worry about. Several people don't realize that it doesn't matter your pre-existing medical conditions, or your age if you are factoring that into why you won’t become a donor (organdonor.org). No matter your age or your health conditions you can become a donor. Therefore, there are minimal excuses as to why we shouldn't make more people become organ donors. When donating it can be as small as blood or it could be something major. There will be a major issue that will occur if organ donation stays optional. Due to the fact that, more and more people are coming up with reasons not to donate (organdonor.org). With one donation, it helps save hordes of lives, although there are jillion's more who wait patiently on the list (Baylor Scott & White Health). Organ donation is the one portion of health care that is not curable, even though we would like to think it is under control. Donating is not something that should be contemplated, because multitudes die when they could easily have a second chance if the one person who passed away would donate. When someone has diabetes, they can receive a transplant from someone who has a viable pancreas that allows them to not have to watch every move they preform and they could potentially be diabetes free (organdonor.org). This would allow someone to live the life they never could and they could be just like everyone else without having to check their sugars constantly. Not only could this help with curing some types of diseases, but you could help relieve someone of the pain that getting dialysis causes (organdonor.org). When people have to access dialysis on a regular basis, it’s painful and difficult to sit through. Although, this treatment keeps them alive, it would be more efficient and cost less to retain a transplant that would allow them to properly filter out their blood without having to sit through a painful and time consuming process of being hooked up to machines. Therefore, the government could step in and help someone who needed it by just proving the means for these people to obtain the donations they need to live a normal and exciting, worry free
