Since the invention of the automobile, our lives has become so much easier. Provided that the career as an automotive technician are endless because no car will not need fixing or maintaining. Particularly, some people want to become automotive technicians because it’s their dream jobs, their family member works with a car, or they are the people who curious about how things work. Consequently, while the passion in cars and the curiosity about how engines work could be valid reasons to become an automotive technician, there are many other good reasons why one should become an automotive technician. This is because automotive technicians require to have their own set of tools and some of them might have collected them since they were in college training school. It would be so amazing, especially, for those who love hand-on work and are able to fix stuffs using their own tools. For instance, “mechanics have two professional calling cards: their toolbox and their training. A dealership’s service center does not usually provide all the tools their mechanics use. While the prefession have envolved, and the technician has replacced mechanic, tools still remain a required investment. After you gained experience as an automotive technician then you could be an expert on the subject of car and able to diagnose problems much quicker. As an automotive technician, you get asked for car advice a lot. Your knowledge can save family, friend, or customers lots of money and times, whether or not they need to fix their cars. As time passed, your knowledge will be expanding and you will become even better in this field with more responsibilities. According to CareerBuilder, “as an automotive technician gains more knowledge, he or she takes on more responsibility” (C, 2016). Data indiciates that “27 percent of automotive technicians have between 6 and 10 years of experience, 18 percent have 11 to 15 years, and 12 percent have 16 to 20 years on the job. With over 20 years under the hood, the most experienced technicians comrise 19 percent of the workfore, while those with 0 to 5 years make up 24 percent”
