Being an athletic therapist means taking care of someone who has injured their musculoskeletal and getting them rehabilitated as fast as possible. Musculoskeletal means relating the musculature and skeleton together. People might get an athletic therapist mixed up with an athletic trainer. Athletic trainers are “healthcare professionals who render service or treatment, under the direction of or in collaboration with a physician, in accordance with their education and training and the states’ statutes, rules and regulations” (Board of Certification). While an athletic therapist is someone who helps in the rehabilitation of athletes. Being an athletic therapist comes with several different choices of the type of people you can work with.
