An anesthesiologist would be a perfect job for anyone who loves to work with people, medicine, and machines because of the tasks done, training, and work environment. An anesthesiologists goes to school for about eight years after high school. After they go to school, anesthesiologists have to do an internship and have to get their doctoral degree, but the average salary is $187,200 a year.
The main priorities of an anesthesiologists are monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia. Also, they do not stay at the same place all the time. First, they have to go through college and graduate with a doctoral or professional degree. Generally, it takes about six to eight years to get a doctoral degree. Next, anesthesiologists have to have an internship or residency, but they do not have to have any work experience. Specifically, the residency or internship takes about three to seven years to complete. According to OH Means Jobs, “Schooling will take anywhere from eight to twelve years.” This proves that all of the schooling and internship work will take anywhere from eight to twelve years depending on whichever residency or internship he or she picks. A few careers that are similar to an anesthesiologists are a nurse practitioner, obstetricians and gynecologists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, surgeons, and veterinarians. Once he or she finishes all of their schooling they go off to work at a hospital or facility. The average pay is $90 per hour and $187,200 per year. So overall, all of the hard work and years of schooling pays off. According to My Future, “Employment of anesthesiologists, physicians, and surgeons is projected to grow 18 percent from 2012 to 2022, faster than the average for all occupations. This fact proves that more people are going to be going to school to be anesthesiologists, physicians, and surgeons which means that there will be more opportunities and more people to work
