Medicine is all around us everyday, whether it's in a home, school, or a hospital. There are so many careers that are involved in a medical- field, such as; a pharmacist, physician, and a nurse. Working in any kind of medical field, to me, is like receiving a puppy on Christmas. My dream is to become an anesthesiologist. I have dreamed of being an anesthesiologist, since I was little, and I have stuck with it. These people are an important part of doing any kind of surgery. Hard work and dedication is put into finding the schools that offer what I am looking for, doing the schooling it takes to become an anesthesiologist, and what are the good bad characteristics of being and anesthesiologist.

If you would like to be in any medical-field, you are going to have to be prepared, that you are going to have quite a lot of schooling. I realized that if I want to become an anesthesiologist that I would have to get my 4 year bachelor's degree in natural sciences, such as¨ physics, inorganic/organic chemistry, anatomy, and biology. Then you would have to apply to medical school, and you would have to attend it for, 4 years. And lastly, you would take a residency for, 4 years, or you could take it for 1 year, if you would want to be a specialists in a medical-field. This means you could be a specialist in only, pediatrics, neurology, geriatrics, and cardiology. To me I would want to be a general anesthesiologist, which they deal with every branch of medicine. You are built of many different characteristics, and you can have many different emotions. To be a great anesthesiologist you need to have dedication- making and integration skills, you need to be able to collaborate with all kinds of people, whether it's, your patients or even your colleagues. You will also need to have communication and interpretation skills, meaning you need to be able to talk clear as day, even if you're in a hurry or, tragic situation. My mom always tells me to be prepared for whatever comes between you and your path. You need to be able to concentrate, becuase if you give to much of the anesthesia that person could die or could be put in a critical condition, or the other way around, if you give less anesthesia than needed, the patient might be able to feel that surgery. Be prepared to see whatever happens in that OR. All these skills are very- much needed but I think the most important skill or characteristic, is to be dedicated. You need to be dedicated to the work you do, even if it takes away from your family. You need to know if you become an anesthesiologist, you will spend less time with your family and a greater amount of time in the hospital. These characteristics are a great start to be an
