Becoming A True Leader In A Baseball Team

Every single person in the world will end up having to deal with problems and challenges in their life, whether it be mental, physical, as a group, or as an individual. People genuinely have two options when it comes to dealing with problems. They can stand up and do everything they can to figure them out, or they can sit back and let the problem takeover. One of the hardest problems to face is in a group setting because in order to fix the problem it requires someone to step up and be a true leader. Once the problem is solved, however the feeling of accomplishment is astonishing. One time, on one of my baseball teams the coach was treating some players unfairly. He did not give them the playing time they deserved and did not recognize their hard work. Something had to be done, but everyone was scared to talk to the coach. No one wanted to say anything, especially me but I knew I had to step up and say something to the coach. I was hesitant at first and did not want to mention anything, but deep down I knew that my baseball team needed a leader. I realized that if I wanted something to be changed I had to be willing to step up and take on the situation myself. …show more content…
My teammates were then treated better and were getting the playing time they deserved. After the problem was solved, it showed me that I can’t be afraid to stand up for what I believe in. From that day forward, I have changed the way I act in certain situations and how I deal with problems that I face. I learned how important leadership is in any situation, and that people will acknowledge you for it as well. No matter what kind of problem I face now, I always try to continue to act like a leader, whether it is for myself or for others. I have much more confidence, and I am always determined to step up and solve
