There is a variety of learning styles that an individual has based on their power, weaknesses, and liking. Not everyone learns the same way so it’s important to understand one’s learning ability and appreciate your own. The type of learning style I am is visual/graphic. This means I am the type of learner that likes things demonstrated in pictures, graphs, charts, or diagrams. A few learning strategies that help me are highlighting main ideas, working in a quiet place, or rewriting lecture notes. My striving style is Leader. This means I like to be in control, organize others, work in groups, and I am very self-directed. My multiple intelligence is Interpersonal. Interpersonal is found in people with strong skills involving others, having a sensitivity to temperatures, moods, and motivations. …show more content…
Challenges are something new and tough that requires a great amount of endeavor and determination. Every college student has barriers throughout their experience at school. Three challenges in becoming a successful college student are time management, homesickness, and lack of focus. College is academically challenging, it requires a lot more work and effort than you’re used to. It seems impossible but it’s important to know your limits. Homesickness is another huge challenge we all face. I was homesick the first two weeks of school, I had trouble sleeping, no appetite, lack of interest, and always had the thought of wanting to go home.
