The most difficult thing that social workers sometimes can encounter is managing conflict. There is an emotional stress that comes with managing conflict. A trend in conflict mediation as social workers is win/win problem solving or solution making. This is the best approach as a social worker must focus on the issue but not personality or the persons involved. The social worker should let each party let go of the past and focus on exploring the needs. As a social worker, should respect the fact that each person has a valid need when arriving at a conflict resolution. The work of the social worker is not to find fault, be judgmental or take side in either party but rather to arrive at amicable level where both part would be at win/win. Both
