Becoming A Soccer Player: A Personal Analysis

I have been playing soccer as long I remember, because my father was a soccer coach so it was pretty much my whole life. I was in the starting lineup front my team. Although I was good enough to be in the starting line up for my team, as Iwas getting better and better, but that was not enough because my team was losing because of me. I was the striker which means I was supposed to score goals for my team, but I wasn't that guy who can beat the defender and put the ball behind the net. The days passed by and a new guy showed up on the team e was a good player, at least better than me. His position in the field was also striker, and he was scoring more goals than I was, so the other players voted for him to be the striker for the team. But …show more content…
Overall, it just made the game more fun. hen I got into Como Park Senior High School, I joined the soccer team, but not the varsity, not the junior varsity,the C team, where I played striker. That was good because I was only 9th grade, and I needed to work on my skills. I am an eighteen-year-old Somali man from a middle class family background. I come from what I believe to be a normal family. Because of the civil war in Somalia, my birth country, my family and I immigrated to Yemen. When war started in Yemen, my mom, siblings, and I came to the United States without our father. My mom works hard to provide for us, but is is hard. From my mom, I learned how to work hard. In soccer, I apply this work ethic. I am not the biggest or fastest player, but I got better at my game because I was willing to work hard. I have been playing since I was five; to me it's like a monkey and a banana. I relieve any stress that I have when I play ,because when I play it puts me into a happy mood. My position on the soccer field was striker, but I was not the best, so I lost it. But when I came to USA, I started over by playing for two clubs besides the school soccer team.
