My Ideal Roommate Essay

When the process begins to select a roommate a person’s ideal roommate would be a clone of oneself, but nine times out of ten that is impossible. When I first thought of picking a roommate for my freshmen year in college at The University of West Alabama, I chose to select someone I knew from back home, Birmingham, Alabama; when one selects a roommate that he/she already knows can sometimes not be a good choice for some. A roommate that is clean and does not mind cleaning up the room no matter if its “tore up from the floor up” or just needs a weekly germ killing cleaning is someone I would consider an as my roommate. Lastly, a great roommate is someone who displays the upmost respect to their roommate’s property, company, and the roommate. My ideal roommate should without any doubts be someone I do not know, someone who does not mind helping to clean up, and someone who is respectful. A considerate roommate is a person who has regards towards an individual’s schedule. For example, while I am studying a respectful roommate would take into consideration not playing loud music, slamming drawers so loud that the neighbors can hear it or even talking on the phone at the top of his/her voice and excessively about nothing. An ideal roommate should not be rude if company is over to our room, if there is a problem with company being over he/she should respectfully notify their roommate about the problem. The roommate’s property must be left in the same place and in the manner in which they leave it. If the roommate for unnecessary reasons moves any property that is not theirs, then that can cause a huge problem. It is one thing to move items to keep the room clean, but it is another reason to move things because it is not to one’s
