Becoming A Professional Nurse For My Future Essay

I wish I could tell a story of me as a little girl, and the person who changed my life and made me want to become a nurse. I can’t though, because this never happened to me. At age 15, when I decided to become a CNA, I was taking a leap of faith, knowing that not only would it not be easy, but it could end up being something I hated. Luckily, not only was this not the case, it was the best decision I have ever made in my life, and it has made me more determined than ever to become a professional nurse. There are a multitude of reasons why I hope to become a professional nurse in my future. Most of these reasons stem from my experiences as a CNA, which took me from being unsure of the nursing field, to knowing there was no better fit for me. Through my experiences, I have seen the direct role of nurses in people’s lives and have been a part of it myself. There is no greater satisfaction than the one I have when I walk into work and see all the faces of all the people I have helped in life so far. Even on a bad day, all it takes to reaffirm my love for nursing is that one resident I can make smile at the worst of times, the one resident thanking me for making their day. Through this I have found my passion for helping people, and I want to become a nurse so I can experience this every day of my life in the future.
