As a kid I always knew I wanted to help others because that is who I am, continuing to grow I started to look into all these different Jobs that surrounded me. There were doctors, nurses, polices, soldiers, teachers , accountants, lawyers and so much more. When I was younger I used to get sick a lot and I always went to the doctors but I didn't mind because I had a Nice Physicians assistant to check up on me. I started going to Alisson since I was 3 months all the way up to now, She checked my ears, nose,mouth,heart and all of that good stuff. Something about what she did caught my attention I knew it wasn't just because she check up on me when I was sick even though that was part of the reason there was something more. In order to become a Physician's assistant is it very important that you have these skills but why? You may ask?. For example you will need to have confidence and judgement skills down because you will have many times in which you will be the eyes and ears of the physician with who you are working with. Most of your patients may see you more than they see the doctor . A Physician assistants also needs to have strong patient assessment skills and good judgment. Assistants need to have confidence in their abilities and decision making. confidence does not mean “winging it” but making a right judgement . Strong problem solving skills are another essential trait of a good physician assistant. Medicine is very complicated and also Patients do not always demonstrate with symptoms that you learned in school that textbooks show . They also do not always respond as they should to treatment that is given to them . At times, making a diagnosis takes a little investigative work. You may need to rule out certain conditions before determining what the patient’s problem is. There is also some trial and error when it comes to treatment. In many cases they will need to try different treatment approaches before something works effectively.
