Becoming A Pain Medicine Specialist

Decent Essays
After all, everyone has a purpose in life. Some envision themselves becoming an educator, engineer, or registered nurse. I consider my purpose in life is to become a pain medicine specialist. Becoming a pain medicine specialist takes quite some time, but I believe it is worth the wait. I will be able to meet my goal by attending college, medical school, and most importantly, working hard.

It is difficult for a person to pinpoint what their purpose is. I see my purpose as making a difference in someone else’s life, whether it is a complete stranger, someone in my family, or an animal even. It does not have to be the biggest gesture, but it would be rewarding to help out in whatever way I can. In Damon’s Path to Purpose, he states that, “...absorption in purposeful tasks may be strenuous, it also brings a deep sense of satisfaction, well-being, and exhilaration.” I know that it is not easy to fulfill a purpose, however, I also know that no matter how hard it gets or how long it takes, the end results will be rewarding.…

College can be some of the best years of your life, as a college student you you no longer have your parent’s rules to follow you can stay up as long as you like chores around the house are no longer a duty for you. You are given the beginnings of personal freedom; you can choose to go out and party or study for a test, or decide to skip class or hang out with your friends. There are many temptations throughout college and if you’re not careful those temptations can prove to be to much even for those who grew up with the strongest Christian foundations. At most college and universities from the moment you walk in on your freshman year you are exposed to new ideas and people that are willing and wanting to challenge your own beliefs. I strongly believe the way to hold true to your beliefs in college is to attend a local church to help you hold true to your faith.…
