Working in the medical field has been not only my plan, but also my dream for as long as I can remember. Over the years I have looked at many different career paths in the medical field; recently, I have looked into becoming a nurse practitioner. To succeed in this career I will need specific educational requirements, I will have a unique work experience along the way, and I will need to have a variety of skills. Generally, there is a great amount of educational requirements needed to be a nurse practitioner. In addition to a high school diploma, it is required to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I will attend Baptist College of Health Sciences which is where I will complete all of my prerequisites and earn my BSN. Along with getting my BSN, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, I will need to obtain a registered nurse license. Moreover, I will have to complete a program called the Doctor of Nursing Practice. The DNP program is a Ph.D. program that allows you start working as a nurse practitioner.
