In this world we live in today it seems that the value of life keeps increasing, yet, we don’t always have the means. After receiving my CNA certificate in 2007, I got my first healthcare job working at a nursing and rehabilitation center. It wasn’t long after I realized how demanding the nursing field was. Although it was a difficult and demanding job, I enjoyed it. From then on, I worked at several facilities including home health care, hospital and a private assisted living facility. Meanwhile, I was in school and balanced working full time. As my college credits accumulated I chose to apply for the Licensed Practical Nurse program. In January 2012, I was accepted into the program and I graduated in December of 2012. My LPN education experience was amazing, it was hard and it challenged me. The program warmed me up to the field, which will eventually get me ready for the RN
