Completing the “Becoming a Lifelong Learner” project has been an interesting and enriching experience for me. At first, it seemed bothersome to spend my time communicating, reading, and watching TV in Spanish, but as I got used to these habits, they became second nature. With the help of this project, I have really began to feel that learning Spanish may be worthwhile and useful for me as time goes on. Explaining this class to someone who hasn’t taken it, would be somewhat difficult due to my bouncing around with words and not staying on track. However, I would do my best to explain it. First, by telling them to take the test that determines what his or her learning patterns were. Then after we had figured out what type of learner they are, go from there. For me personal mastery teaches that an individual needs to establish their own vision and values and align their actions to these visions and values. These visions and values should also be aligned to that of the organisation. It requires the person to look critically at the current reality and clarifying what is important to them and what they need to do to achieve what they want. This generates what is referred to as creative tension and in personal mastery it requires individuals to learn how to identify and deal with the creative tension in their lives. Creative tension can only be resolved when reality moves towards the vision.…
