Okay!! Here I go!! I am so nervous!! How are people going to look at me? Can I wait till next period starts? Is this a nice school? Will I create friends? Why did I have to change in the middle of the school year? Why did my friends not come here with me? All these thoughts have been swirling in my mind as I walk through the hallway. I can see the class that has the same number as the one on my tag I have received in the entrance of this school. I saw it! It is getting closer! And closer! Ohh the door is really decorated. It got a lot of collages of tons of pictures of students or people I have never met in my life. It has a lot of Christmas colors with festive feel to it. I love holidays season. So this got me really excited. Finally, I can see the name of my …show more content…
Of course she has something back so I just decided to act like myself and walk away. I sat with my old nerdy mind that never helps in any situation! I HATE myself and mind. Why couldn't I be cool like her? Why can't I be a leader? But… wait!! Why does she feel the need to be a leader? To bully me? To give attention? Why does she want to bring me down? I suddenly thought of her differently. I realized it was my mistake! Bullies are jealous people that's why they try to be the best, I learned that like in second grade. What could she possibly be jealous of that I have that she doesn't? She is so much prettier, cooler, more famous. She is a leader, and she can boss people around. I realized suddenly, why is it important to be cool? To be a leader? I just feel bad for her. I don't know I feel bad for her! I should feel bad for myself. Unexpectedly, I felt the need to go up to her and ask her: why are you jealous but that would definitely not make any sense. She made fun of me and I go ask how is she doing. But I have to do something. As these thoughts crossed my mind, all of the sudden the bell rang.I think we are going to lunch. I need to do something in

One of your escorts drove you to the school you were assigned in a black limo, and you marveled at the scenery. Your eyes darted across every surface, amazed by each detail. Beacon Hills High School was a red-brick building, you saw people your age moving about frantically, huddled into groups, shouting across large areas of concrete. You saw people with colored hair, dark clothes, metal piercing their skin. You were so busy gazing at the sight before you that you hardly noticed the car drive away, leaving you alone at this new school, but you didn’t feel that way at all.…

There is not one set definition of what a leader is, there are generalizations for a set definition but a leader means different things for every person on this Earth. Leadership can be exhibited in various ways. Learning to be a leader takes many years of experience and is always a learning process. The persons that I chose to be my ten leaders are individuals who I think have had enough experience to become the great leaders that they are today. Most of them have made such a huge impact in their careers to the point that they are considered legends at what they do.…

From that experience I realized that if conflicts get out of hand, you should consult a parent or teacher. Don’t let anyone harass you if you didn’t do anything wrong. You shouldn’t be mean back, but tell them to cut it out. When the mean girl started teasing and bullying me, I let her instead of stopping her. That gave the bully satisfaction of hurting me.…

When it come to defining the word education, there is no true definition. You can look it up in a dictionary and see what it says, but you may not always agree with it. Some may say education has to just do with school and getting an education. But other may say it’s the lessons that you learn along the way. To me, education means learning a lesson or skill that you will carry with you for the rest of your life whether it was in school or during an impacting moment in your life.…

Why is bullying wrong, when it feels great to feel superior to someone, to feel like you have a little servant. The real question is why do you need to have that feeling inside of you, do you not get enough attention at home, do you feel like your parents don 't care or pay as much attention to you as you wish do you want to feel what being a bully feels like, do you really want to make someone 's life so miserable that they hate you so much that they can attempt to kill themselves or even to kill you? I have previously bullied and I can say it 's not worth it. In the long run, it doesn 't matter if you feel superior if you feel popular or if people look up to you, because as time passes you realize the deep damage you have done. The fact that, that person dropped her self-esteem so low that she had no friends and started wearing all black and her hair in her face because she wanted nobody to see her, because her self-esteem was so low, and she had to wear tons of bracelets because she wanted nobody to see how much she 's cut herself.…

I would argue that the main point of this chapter is that schooling has not been focusing on teaching students how to reflect, to critical think, and to judge the things they think and do. In addition, hegemony is a silent method of social dominance and subordinate groups seem to accept it without notice it. McLaren explains that critical pedagogy defines ideology in a way, in which we view the world with certain values, ideas, and beliefs. This gives our social and political life a meaning and common sense. According to McLaren, society develops this ideology unfairly.…
