Most trainers have duties, like “riding the horses, and training them to perform desired movements and behaviors, they are also responsible for planning training exercise, breaking horses to saddle and bridle, making horses more “bomb” proof (meaning desensitizing and more relaxed around unfamiliar sounds and sights), treating minor injuries, calling a vet if needed” (The Balance). Most trainers also actually show the horses, they do this for a couple of reasons. One, this helps the horse gain experience in and out of the show ring, this helps them increase in their points and their value (The Balance). Two, this helps with trailering experience, most horses tend to be scared of the trailer.
