One thing I know I want to do with my life is be around horses, in some way or another. So why not do what I do best, become a horse trainer. Of course college isn’t required, but why just settle for the basics and not go deeper into the knowledge of a horse trainer. That’s why I definitely plan on going to William Woods Academy, one of the top rated equine schools in America, and it’s only an hour or two away. And I also have experience with horse training, I already trained in halter many of the horses at The Hope Therapeutic Horsemanship Center. Why not continue in that path and just do what I know best. I’ve studied them almost my whole life, and I have been riding since before I could even walk. It’s like I’m destined to do this, that this is my calling. Though there are many things I still have to learn, I’m pumped to continue my education.

Most trainers have duties, like “riding the horses, and training them to perform desired movements and behaviors, they are also responsible for planning training exercise, breaking horses to saddle and bridle, making horses more “bomb” proof (meaning desensitizing and more relaxed around unfamiliar sounds and sights), treating minor injuries, calling a vet if needed” (The Balance). Most trainers also actually show the horses, they do this for a couple of reasons. One, this helps the horse gain experience in and out of the show ring, this helps them increase in their points and their value (The Balance). Two, this helps with trailering experience, most horses tend to be scared of the trailer.
