1. Forensic psychology is the psychological research, methods, and practice that the legal system faces. Forensic psychologists have a lot of different occupational duties that they can carry out (Roesch 2010). One of these duties is trial consultant. In this engagement the psychologist will conduct surveys and can try to find the best jury for the situation. Another stint that a trial consultant will sometimes do is strategizing to shape how the juries will embrace the proceedings. Psychologist also has an occupation of meditation and conflict resolution. This can consist of training of attention and self-regulation with the mind.     I agree, I think that confidentiality and consent are the two major differences between conducting psychological assessments for the court rather than a community or private sector. You also bring up a good point regarding what psychologists are actually required to submit to the courts. However, to answer your question, if I was hired by the prosecution, yet my report would exonerate the defendant I would still feel obligated to submit my conclusions, regardless of the outcome. In my opinion, it would not be ethical to simply not comply with the prosecution because they are not happy with the conclusions I drew from the assessments given.
