Becoming A Destination Analysis

In life people will have one finale destination they would want to reach. Some say that all that matters is the destination and not the journey. The journey however molds you into who you are when you reach your destination. The journey enables indivisuals to learn valuable lessons and because the journey opens doors to other destinations some would not have considered. Admittedly, achieving ones destination or goals is important for some individuals. Certain high profile athletes or businesspeople must finish first or face intense criticism. However, most people do not measure their success by finishing first or being the winner. For example, my friends and I are fairly hard working students who earn mostly A's and B's on report cards. …show more content…
Our team was an interesting mix of personalities who spoke many different languages and had different values and life goals. My experience with the team taught me t respect all people's values regarding religion, race, and career goals. In particular, I had many teammates who lived in Mexico and had little money. I gained a deep appreciation for the struggles of poor people that helped me later in life. Specificity, I made friends with Jose and visited his family times and developed a love for Mexican people and their culture. In addition, my ten week relationship with teresa taught me many valuable life lessons. Most of my friends discouraged me from dating her because of her inflammatory personality and temper. Prior to my relationship with her, I felt having a girlfriend was very important but once we started dating I realized how much I valued my personal time and freedom to make my own choices. Teresa was not a bad person, but I learned a very valuable lesson regarding selecting a more compatible partner in the future and appreciating the freedom of being single. As a result, valuable life lessons regarding ones choice of friends and significant others can be learned along the "journey of
