Being a counselor is something that I have always imagined myself becoming, more specifically a psychologist. The first step is to obtain an undergraduate degree in a related field. Next, you are required to complete an Education Specialist (Ed.S) or a master’s degree program. Following the completion of the Post-graduate degree, varying state by state, an exam for certification is required to obtain licensure. Once I have begun practicing, the need for a doctoral degree will be determined. I believe that I will accomplish all of this within the next 4 years.
