Becoming A College Football Player

I am a born football player. I have the sport my entire life. I dreamed day and night of one day becoming a college football player. Until one day that dream got put to a halt. I woke up one cool fall day in October. It was also the day of our semifinal football playoffs. My dream of becoming a college football player was looking amazing. I had two or three division one colleges offering me scholarships to play let alone the twenty or so division two and three schools. All I had to do was pick my favorite and finish out my senior year. Until later that night, during the fourth quarter with only five minutes remaining my dreams went out the window. I was running the ball down the sidelines when suddenly, a player on the other team dove at me hitting my square in the side of the knee. …show more content…
I was done. I was never going to have the opportunity to play another down of the football. I was heartbroken. I was two games away from being a state champion my senior year. I didn’t know what to do with myself. Until that night after the game a local hometown doctor came to visit me. He came to check my knee and see how I was doing. It was at that moment that there is something better than becoming a football star. I could go off the college and become an individual that makes others dreams possible. My football dream would have never been possible if it wasn’t for the local seed cooperative that donate thousands of dollars to start a youth football program which kick started my dream. I would have never had the option to play football if it wasn’t for all the cooperatives in my small town which donated their hard-earned time and money to the local sports programs. The community, the friendships, the cooperatives are what made it possible to even have a chance at achieving my
