Today was our official first day and I got to shadow a clinical nurse on the third floor. When me and two other students arrived at our site, we were immediately approached by the head nurse and assigned to our individual nurse. When I first approached the CN, she was in a search for a pillow. While she went on a scavenger hunt to find a pillow, she took that opportunity to show me the storage room, nourishment room, and areas in a patient room where you would find supplies. That was useful information to have because she would later send me to get a thermometer, vanilla pudding, and water with ice. The majority of the time, I just watched her do vitals.
