Becoming A Cheerleader Essay

In thinking about what to write for this journal, cheerleading came to my mind as a favorable memory. Fondly, I remember becoming a cheerleader very early, at four years of age. When I look back on my years as a cheerleader, I smile with a warn heart at the wonderful memories I hold. It began with Pee-wee cheer for the Brunswick Bull Dogs in Brunswick, NY, cheering for the boy’s football team and it I continued to be a cheerleader throughout my high school years. The members of this club were positive, especially my coaches in their education with us. It was friendly, caring and open within our age group. In all honest I do not remember anything negative about cheering as a young child. My mom always brought me to my practices, and games and it was comforting to know she cared, and was always there to support me, the entire team, and club. We were always practicing our cheers, and talking about how we could improve them for upcoming games. We all wore the same practice clothes, which were sneakers, black spandex shorts and a white t-shirt with a bulldog emblem on the left front corner that said Brunswick Bulldogs. It allowed and encouraged me to meet an engage with new friends, socialize with others younger and older, and respect adult supervision and direction, along with being proud of the boys, even if they did not win. My self-esteem and self-respect was high on the scale of love and happiness. Play definitely aided in making me a well- rounded child that grew with me into adulthood. I was learning verbal, visual traits on concentration and co-operation. Develops imagination, and iall the learning standards for development. The best thing about it is that it develops a great deal of skills, and you do not even realize it. Playing with others, no matter the play is important to all the developments in educating people to be good
