Surgeons get to save lives every day by performing many different operations on people who are in need of surgery. Cardiovascular Surgeons are able to help those who are in danger such as: car wreck, diseases, bad heart and many more. Brent Spencer got hit by a care while riding a motorcycle on March 17, 2009 (Patients Stories 2015). The doctors immediately thought of amputation as a way to save Brent’s life. Before they went into surgery, the doctors reevaluated the situation and considered to try to save every part of his leg as possible. The procedure went very well, and they were able to save his leg.
