Truth has been told, I have not had my life together much, but recently before school started, I had some time to think about what I would want to do after I complete high school and live on my own in this world. So then I started to think about what I am interested in. At first there was nothing that seemed to interest me at all. After some time of thinking about my plans for after high school, I decided that I want to be a bartender. Bartending is not the kind of career that little kids think about wanting to pursue into as they get older, but it is something that everyone would think about as they are getting older along with many other occupations that they may not of known existed. A day as a bartender mainly consists a large amount of …show more content…
It depends on whether they want to work part-time or full-time and whether or not they want to own a bar, but wants to be the bartender or not. ”Many employers offer two shifts per day, with the first one starting at about noon and the last shift ending at about 3 a.m. These shifts leave the earlier part of the day free for rest or other commitments. Bartenders also have the option to work full time or part time.” (Tina Amo, 2016). Yearly, bartenders earn $19,530 while they receive $9.39 hourly along with however much the tip bartenders get since it depends on where they work at and whether they’re really good at their job or not. The education required to be a bartender is actually not required after high school, but you can go to a bartending school and get a certificate which is optional. The skills required for this career are greeting people, taking their orders, getting their orders done quickly, hearing what they have to say, give them advice, collect money along with tips, do inventory, clean everything and clean everywhere. It is said that bartending will increase to ten percent from 2014 all the way to 2024, which is more faster …show more content…
There actually is not any post-secondary education required, but you can go to a bartending school and get a bartending certificate but that is optional. The skills I need to develop for bartending will be to know is doing inventory since I have never done that before. A personal weakness of mine that I will need to overcome is memorization because I tend to forget sometimes. When I was younger, I always wanted to be an owner of a restaurant or something much similar so that I would have a name for myself when. That is the reason why my goal is to possibly own a bar later down the road as in from like around five or six years after I started working as a bartender unless I can achieve that goal sooner than I thought. Also with this vision of mine, I plan on still being a bartender at my own bar along with there being another bar or two and a stage where I could try to have some famous singers come and perform in a night or two. There will be a somewhat medium size dance floor in front of the stage. Hopefully there will be enough room for a pool table or two and some booths in case the place gets too crowded. Yes, there will be a few bouncers in case things get rather wild and violent during the

It’s a good thing you go to college because you wouldn 't make it in the real world’” (Spradley and Mann 1975:53).…

My senior year of high school was relaxing at first as I didn’t have any real plans for my future. I was completely clueless about what I wanted to do, academically and professionally, post high school graduation. When I looked at my past for help I saw a pre-teen adolescent, a girl with eyes too big for her face, belting vocals into the bathroom mirror for she thought she could perform in a band someday. As I looked further back, I saw a six-year-old child who dreamed of becoming a dancer— who twirled for her mother every chance she had. Yet, it was during my senior year in high school when certain, unfortunate, circumstances created a pathway to a future that I would have never otherwise pursued.…

If someone has not already thought of this, they most likely will because the majority of people have to have serious questions based upon what they want to make a career out of. However, some people have always known what they feel passionate about and can make a career out of. Ever since I was young, I have always loved houses from interior to exterior and even structurally with floor plans. In third grade, I decided I wanted to be an interior designer and it was not until last year, my junior year in high school, that I figured out it would not be the best job field for me.…
