Bebe Rexha's Song Me, Myself

Decent Essays
The song I choose is Me, Myself, and I by G-Eazy ft. Bebe Rexha. I chose this song because sometimes life can be hard, and it may seem like you are alone. High school is a highly emotional time, and sometimes the people we choose as friends aren’t really your friends. I can relate to this song because I’ve had moments were its felt like it was only me, myself, and I. This song is my favorite because I can and have related to it. This song really speaks to me, and that is why I chose it.

Für Elise by Beethoven is the song that expresses who I am. When I started playing piano, I got frustrated that most of my family had a natural talent while I didn't. My father talked to me and gave me one of the most important lessons of my life: "Practice makes perfection, if you want something, insist until you get it". After playing piano as a hobby, at age 17 I decided to take my skills to the next level by taking piano lessons at college and I challenged myself to first learn how to play Für Elise. It wasn't easy, but practice made perfection.…

It’s been 10 years since the last Missy Elliott album, and her return to the public eye with “WTF (Where They From)” is an unexpectedly huge breath of fresh air. Pharrell Williams’ production fits Elliott perfectly - it’s always shifting, dangerous, tasteful, plastic, colorful. Descending bass hits trigger indecipherable samples and airhorns; Elliott’s flow on top is memorable as she lingers on the last word of a line, “The dance that you doing is dumbbbbb, how they do it where you from?” The lyrics themselves are scathing and convicted, a middle finger to the Miley Cyrus-led wave of cultural appropriation as well as a justification of her own return. “Ugh, I’m so far ahead of y’all,” she mentions among a barrage of memorable lines.…

Welcome to my Life(Beginning) Welcome to my life would introduce to the viewers the aching of stress and discomfort which is could similarly connect to the novel. The song develops the main idea of being stressful and internally hurt, but not showing it publicly. For example, their feelings may be torn apart and heavy stress may be upon whomever. Although Hannah does not show this until the tapes, she hid it inside for a long period of time which she states in her tapes. The most demonstrative example is when she talks about peeping Tom which made her very worried and full of discomfort.…
