At my place of employment that I used to work for almost 4 years before I entered my MBA, the type of products offered were beauty products including hair, body and skin care.

It was needed a very strict and limited return policy requiring manager approval due to hygiene reason. The company offered beauty products that were made of plants, and contained pure essential oils. For hygienic reasons, beauty products and cosmetics cannot be exchanged or refunded at any time. But since the company wanted customers to be fully satisfied with every item their customers purchased from their locations, if for some reason, customers were not satisfied with their purchase, the company accepted exchange within 30 days after purchase. As you can see in the appendices, I defined the stakeholders as: my-self (store manager), store employees, my friend, and my employer. In my opinion, as one of the stakeholders of the company, the initial problem statement can be reframed as lack of knowledge. Based on what I know about the company’s training procedures and human resource, I really believe that asking this type of request can come from the lack of proper training and education and not knowing what the consequences of the request are. One of the most important reasons to offer supplementary and appropriate training and education to employees is to ensure that staff skills stay up-to-date and all the employees understand company’s policy in details especially when it comes to the store managers since they have to train their staff and handover all the knowledge to their …show more content…
We need to write well-defined policies in the form of rules, regulations and procedures. From the minute they 're employed, staff needs written copies of the policies. These must also be acknowledged in a way that is easy to grasp and free of vulnerable ambiguities. If we are unsure of where to start, attempt demonstrating your company 's vision and policies following those of other organizations that we find ethical. We can also hire a mentor to evaluate our organization and decide the best way to approach the concern. Ethics is central to decision-making and effective leadership itself. This highlights the degree to which it can be challenging for leaders to resolve what 's right and wrong. Some make the immoral choices and end up in front of the judges. Nowadays, we can see many firms that are run by ethical leaders. While values appear to keep deteriorating in some corporations, other leaders "raise the bar” come out of their single-loop thinking and encourage their teams by being their role models, educator and motivator. These leaders perform the right thing, at the right instance, for the exact purposes. They put their ethics before any relationship and bottom line. The entire company from vice president all the way down, everyone needs to be trained in a way that is matched with the company’s mission. They should set sharp and proper ethical guidelines that are understandable by all in the
