Would you prod them, lock them up, or inject them with possibly toxic products? That is what most reactions would be. Well, it turns out you may be using one or more animal tested products a day without knowing. Today’s society will do just about anything to get rid of basic physical imperfections- large pores, loose skin, and rid of wrinkles. Is it worth to get rid of a few wrinkles for an animal's life? Judging by my last question, I don’t think anyone in this room would perform any harsh acts on an animal just for the sake of science. There are alternatives like Aveda, NYX, and Smashbox. If nothing is done, an animal's voice will become quieter and more and more animals will suffer. Not buying animal tested products can be one of the best decisions you can make. Not only does it save a life but it will limit the need to be testing new products. I have told you what animal testing is, how it affects the animals and how it is done, alternatives, and what you can do to help.
So maybe next time you go to grab a can of Febreze or the newest vibrant hair dye, you will think about the animal that had to undergo pain to ensure it was safe for human use. I will end this speech with one quote, hoping to leave a lasting impression.
