“Beauty and the Beast” written by Monica Patrick is a funny and light humored poem making reference to the popular Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast. The poem talks about how a couple in love see each other differently than one who is not in a relationship. Although the man or woman in this poem does not seem hurt, when someone exclaims, “Why that’s Beauty and the Beast!” it would typically hurt to hear that type of comment.
