Founded in 2006 by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, Beats is a premium auditory brand in quality entertainment dedicated to giving music lovers superior sound they can appreciate. Almost 10 years into the business, and the company has already had incredible success, which can be attributed to their intelligence in marketing strategy. When Dre and Iovine, first came up with the idea all they knew is that they were going to sell speakers and headphones. Then, as they began to specify the product and eventually bring it to the market they asked themselves what the customer would want. They answered this question by examining their target market.
Beats headphones specifically targets hip-hop music aficionados. Founders Dr.
