A comment Beatrice says to Benedick as he arrives is “ I wonder that you will still be talking, Signior Benedick, nobody marks you” (.1.114-115) with this that she told Benedick, she was impudent saying that he should not be talking because a women would not want a man such as him for the way he is. Beatrice is putting him down in a way and wants him to think that she is not interested in him. For things like that Benedick is not to happy about seeing Beatrice at any moment. To get back at Beatrice, Benedick tells her “ Well, you are a rare parrot-teacher ’’ (1.1.136) , In this quote Benedick is saying that Beatrice is a lady that needs to be taught by a parrot teacher. This means that he is calling her a bird that exigency for help. This shows how much these two enjoy insulting each other without a care in the world if they get hurt by what they are being told.
