In mid-2007 , the bank has secured a loan about $ 3.2 billion to stop the worsen value of the second Fund . The bank has also been discussing terms with other investors to provide additional funds to the first Bear Stearns fund . Almost all of the funds were invested in very risky collateralized debt obligations (CDO). The fast decline in money market made billions dollars of Bothe funds securities to be unmarketable. And many Investors tried to withdraw or stop their losses . investors , like JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch were making threats to collect the collateral. The managers in bear Stearns were trying to persuade investors to allow more time to invest , and change the situation they were in . Investors trying to make Bear Stearns
