The repetition that is used is extremely important to catch attention and emphasize words to help readers make a connection. With that in used, rhyme compliments it by highlighting details and leads the readers to the main points of the poem. To top off, all of these devices work in unity with the visual that the figurative languages give. I personally am entertained by the use of the poetic devices and have been brought along with the journey of the author. While reading it, I also imagine the picture that he’s trying to give and I could feel it. I too as one of the reader have experienced what the author has brought the reader in.
