If one was to search the definition of The Beach Boys’ what would pop up is a male swimmer or instructor at the beach. The Boys’ album such as “Surfin’” brought a summer sound to California, and it had also set a tone of the California dream. Their other songs such as “California Girls” had put a main focus point on the perfect California girl that people would fantasize of having or being. The way they had made their albums gave teens and adults hopes and dreams, but it also talk about real life situations. Their music consists of rich harmonies, catchy melodies, and talked about growing up and fun. According to the author,“As their sound matured, the Beach Boys also captured the pain of growing up. “In My Room” and “Don’t Worry Baby” expressed the uncertainty of young love”(Berg). They had displayed their feelings that they were going through, but including it in there music to show young people that might be going through the same situation can connect to the lyrics. The American boy group wanted to talk about the perfect life, and how they wish they could view life.
