Be Smart and Follow Your Heart What do you want to do when you grow up? This is the million-dollar question, the question everyone has asked themselves since they were young children. Though as one grows up they eventually are faced with answering this daunting question. However, when picking a career there are almost two routes one can take. Graduates can either choose to pursue a career based on their passion or one that makes a stable income. This idea leaves many students torn making a tough choice that can completely change the course of one’s life for the good or the bad. I believe that graduates should choose a career that peaks their interest and passion if it does not prevent them from earning a stable living. “Do what you love, and you will never work a day in your life.” (Confucius) is one of the most renowned quotes on the subject of choosing a career comes up. For if someone enjoys their job it is no longer work. It’s a dream many have, being able to profit financially from doing what they love. Though many forsake this idea entirely and choose a career completely based on money even when they do not possess any satisfaction in their job. This is wrong. People that do this are in many cases found to be distressed and have a much lower quality of life.
