It has been 16 years since the hit TV series Baywatch ended and now fans of the show are about to leap for joy because it is making a comeback, not as a TV series but rather as a movie. Latinos Post reported that Baywatch is confirmed to return as a movie and those who have loved it could rejoice knowing that those beach scenes and action are going to be relived.

Comic Book published some spoilers about this movie and one of them is the fact that this project would be rated R for comedy. Another thing is that two popular actors were already confirmed to have signed for this movie and one of them is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who would take the role of Mitch Buchannon, whose character was made popular by David Hasselhoff.

Zac Efron is the other actor who is said to be a part of the Baywatch revival. According to E Online, The Rock even posted on his Twitter the announcement of having Efron being part of this project. As for the character that he would portray, there is no update on the exact name he will be having on the film. But his role would be a drunk Olympic swimmer who found himself inebriated during the Beijing Olympics. He was so drunk that he even attempted to free some panda bears in the area. Efron's character would then decide to get his life straight and that's the reason he joined the team of Baywatch, to be one of the lifeguards.

Movie producers create the character as one of two types of rebels, either the man who starts the movie masculine and transforms into a rebel, or the foolish, powerless man who becomes masculine by going against society. The movie Rambo portrays the first type of insurgent, played by Sylvester Stallone, known for his masculinity in Rocky. Rambo comes out of retirement to join a group of mercenaries fighting the Burmese army with the goal of rescuing multiple Christian missionaries. Stallone, the ideal image of masculinity through his physique and bravery, barley changes his image in this movie because he has already proven himself as the epitome of manliness. On the other hand, Johnny Depp, a skinny man with long hair, plays the role of Captain Jack Sparrow in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean, and he demonstrates his masculinity in ways other than brute force.…
