The requirements for a sports medicine physician are pretty lengthy. Students are required to take pre-med classes in biology, anatomy and chemistry during their undergraduate years. A bachelor’s degree is not required for admission into all medical schools, but it is recommended. Most students that are accepted into medical school major in either chemistry or biology. After graduating from Baylor University, I plan to apply at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM). A bachelor’s degree is not required to be accepted into Baylor College of Medicine, but it is definitely recommended. To apply at BCM, you must complete an American Medical College Application Services (AMCAS) application, and a supplementary application. The AMCAS is the Association of American Medical Colleges standard medical school application processing service. The AMCAS is the primary application method for first-year medical school students entering classes. BCM also requires that every medical school applicant complete a supplemental application. The supplemental application must be submitted along with the AMCAS
