Introduction To what extent is Bayes theorem used in the crowdsourcing of Pandora? Crowdsourcing is the gathering of information on the internet through tags, likes, and what sites a user visits. Crowdsourcing is an asset to advertisers seeking to find a target audience to sell a product. Bayes theorem describes the probability of an event based on prior knowledge that might be related to the event. Pandora music is a service that creates a radio station related to an album, genre, or artist of the user’s choosing. Crowdsourcing is used in Pandora to allow the user to personalize their own radio station. When enquired why am I seeing this track it answers. Based on what you've told us so far, we're playing this track because it features country roots, gospel influences, a subtle use of vocal harmony, mixed acoustic and electric instrumentation and a busy horn section. Overall, I am unhappy with the extent of mathematical proofing that is available to observe. In total there are over 450 different criterion that are used to classify songs in the Music Genome Project and because of Pandora is a business those criterion are trade secretes and only a small minority of observable differences are shown in their music selection making extremely specific probability of finding a specific song based on criterion is near impossible
