“Alright it seems as if everyone is here today,” the sub states. The announcements bell came on but it didn’t start out with good morning Bay Springs Middle school, it came on starting with “ This is Marti Stephens, and there is an intruder in the building.” As soon I heard the words intruder I look at the sub and Kailyn was telling her to grab the red bag. I moved at a fast pace over to Ms.Johnson’s desk and crawled under it. I sat there shaking, I looked to my left and saw Kylan with his head pulled

I arrived at Rancho Buena Vista High School at 12:00 pm. I waited in a line for about 20 minutes until I reached to the security section. Before we could enter Rancho Buena Vista’s Stadium, we had to be checked for weapons or anything dangerous. As a small, scrawny, confused 8th grade boy, the transition from a coed middle school - Roger Ludlowe Middle School - to Fairfield Prep was an enormous step for me socially and academically. At that time in my life, I was unsure if Fairfield Prep was going to be a good fit for me: all I had ever heard about the school were glowing reports from my older sister's friends who attended. Fortunately, looking back at it, attending Fairfield Prep was one of the most impactful and beneficial decisions I have ever made for myself as it inspired me to be "open to growth". This institution has not only pushed me academically, but it allowed me to stretch my comfort-zone and become more comfortable with myself.…

It was a calm and relaxing day at Marino High School. It was about 2 in the afternoon when Cassie found the note on the ground. On the note said ‘Meet me behind the locker rooms at the football field at the end of the 3rd quarter on Friday night. From Brad’. Brad, being the captain of the football team, used to be into some bad stuff until he was sent to juvie at the beginning of the school year.…

I wake up at 6 in the morning, walk by my kitchen refusing to eat breakfast at 6:10, and pack my duffle bag by 6:35. After brushing my teeth at 6:50, I leave for school at 7 with my brother and my father. Classes begin at 7:35am and end at 2:12pm. Standing in the locker room changing my clothes and lacing up my shoes by 2:25, I remind myself why I put myself through this ritual every single day. The gym doors open at 2:30, when dozens of student athletes crowd the athletic directors office waiting for him to appear with the key.…

I am Elizabeth Taylor, I am a senior at Mission Springs High School. I am seventeen years of age. I am the oldest of seven grandchildren and three siblings, so you can imagine how much pressure is on me to be the “perfect role model” for the younger generations. I had a pretty good life, if I could say so myself. Besides my Dad deciding to take himself out of my life simply because my family wasn’t enough for him might have been a bit of a downer, but other then that life is good.…

The last of my high school career was spent at Plant City high school, in the small town of Plant City, Florida. Nothing much has happened in the small Floridain town except the annual strawberry festival. The only activities one can do involves driving to Lakeland or Brandon. The school in the area was rather dirty compared to other schools in the district, often smelling of fried rice along with the marijuana and robotussin the students sold among each other. The dark bland hallways robbed of color and spirit usually filled with mexican immagrant students and (of the lack of a better word) white trash trying to co exist.…

It all started on a Saturday morning in Equisvile, just three blocks down from Canterlot High in a small house. Behind it's simple gray walls sat a high schooler named, Flash Sentry. Essentially, what every adult thought the cool kids were like nowadays, a joke he took pretty well.…

I was afraid to sharpen a pencil in second grade. My most vivid elementary school memories spring from instances when I was being reprimanded by an adult for doing something wrong. I did everything in my power to avoid those dreadful moments, but they still presented themselves on occasion. Even now I feel a pit in my stomach when I recall the way I felt during those times, regardless of the fact that almost all of them would easily roll off my back if they occurred today.…

The world doesn’t run on your time, sadly I learned sooner than I thought. It’s nothing like being in the fifth grade ready to move on to middle school, new friends, new responsibilities, sadly new teachers, and let’s not forget better school lunch. Seven thirty and we’re all waiting on our math teacher. Butterflies in my tummy and the excitement of a new school year made me more nervous than a criminal being question by the cops.…
