The Warsaw and NATO treaty were The warsaw treaty was a military and political alliance that took place May 14, 1955. It was between the Soviet Union and many Eastern European countries. It was formed as a counterbalance to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization or NATO.
Bay of Pigs (F.P)
My paragraph is going to be discussing the Bay of Pigs event and its relation to a boxing match. The CIA (central intelligence agency) was ultimately responsible for this event. They failed to send the Cuban exiles ( people who knew Cuba very well but were forced to leave it) to make it seem as if Castro’s own people were turning against but in reality it never really worked out. The plan was meant to be secretive but Cuba found out, captured and killed the exiles, and Russia wasn’t happy. This all occurred over the span of two days(April 17, 1961- April 19,1961) and mostly took place along the southern coast of Cuba. The reasoning behind the Bay of Pigs was Fidel Castro got trigger happy about his military and decided to take over Cuba and America was angry. The U.S, Great Britain, and France were against the Soviet Union in terms of politics. All of these countries divided Germany into four zones and only one was for the U.S.S.R. As soon as Germany’s civilians found out, most of them fled towards to the Allies’ side. The Soviet Union noticed this and tried to contain the people using a barbed-wired fence then later a wall. This all went down in Berlin (Germany), obviously, during August 13, 1961 to November 9, 1989. This ties to my simile of the Cold War, which is a boxing match, because I see the Berlin Wall as a defensive move. The Allies kept attacking (dropping supplies) and Russia was just trying to hold
