In the Bay Back Battery Simulation, I was tasked to use strategic innovation to earn profits for the division of the consumer electronics manufacturer. As the President of Back Bay Battery, Inc., I was responsible for distributing funds for two types of batteries produced by the firm. Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) accounted for 80% of revenue for the firm while Ultracapacitor batteries (UC) only made up 20% revenue (Christensen & Shih, 2012). The company primary products covered portable power tools, two-way radios, and portable power packs. During the first run of the simulation, I responded to changes in competition and demand by allocation resources toward R&D.
