Based on the photograph I think that the “Battle of Lexington” was not a real battle because there are only dead colonist on the floor. If it was an actual battle there would be both dead colonists and British troops. In the picture on page 175, none of the British troops are dead, all of them are standing and some are firing guns. Even if the British were more stronger and powerful, there should be a few British soldiers dead. None of the colonists were firing guns Another reason why the “Battle of Lexington” was not a real battle is because in the picture the Americans are retreating and not fighting back. They are also dying. Which would not be considered a war, it would be more of a massacre. The British are the only ones fighting in the
