The battle of Charleston included the Kingdom of Great Britain and North America's 13 colonies. This took place in Charleston, South Carolina, Wednesday, March 29, 1780. The British raised revenue by taxing the colonies.
Later on May 12 the Battle of Charleston happened and British captured Charleston. Also on Sept. 3 the Americans found out that American G. Benedict Arnold’s a traitor, this was part of the reason Charleston was more enraged. It was the biggest loss of manpower and equipment of the war for the Americans and gave the British nearly complete control of the Southern colonies.
