This story is about the bravery of Bato Lakungan, the folk hero of the story. The tale was started when a Sultan of a certain tribe went hunting. And suddenly he found a baby in the forest. The baby was named Bato Lakungan and was treated nice by the sultan as their family. As years go by, Bato turned into a brave and kind man. He was always appreciated by his fellow young men because of his bravery. Until one tragic day, he was merely accused of harassing his foster mother; the wife of the Sultan. In his massive rage, the Sultan ordered to capture Bato, to face the consequences and it was splendid. Bato has been put into jail. He saw a beautiful maiden whom he happened to save from a wild beast. She was so beautiful that it was love at first sight for the young man. Bato introduced himself to the lady which in fact, is also in love at him; love at first sight for the both parties, I say. Her name was Kamayungan, she is the daughter of the Sultan of another clan and she’s the fiancé of that terrifying man-Baringngigan. When Baringngigan heard that Bato and Kamayungan was secretly seeing each other, he attacked Ranaw again because he was insulted by Bato’s doings. But sad for him Bato’s always winning the match because of his power and magical weapons. Baringngigan found out that Bato’s source of power came from his magical weapons, because of this he has planned to capture Bato and to steal his magical weapons in order to weaken him to take the advantage. And when the motion was done, Bato’s been asked for a duel again by …show more content…
The story is all about the journey of Bato Lakungan, the main character of the play. As I watch the play, I easily understand what was the story all about because the characters portrayed the play well. They really have the facial expressions when they act and also the characters did very well during the play. I like the singing part of the play because it is very entertaining and fun to watch. The performers have wonderful voices that really amazed me. The way they act and dance is also very fascinating. But as the story was about to end, there are lots of questions in my mind like “How it happened?” and “Why it happened?”. I was so confused because I thought it would be a happy ending, rather it left as a mystery until now. All in all, I enjoyed the play and it was very great.

I learned a lot about the legend of Ranaw. At first I do not know what it is all about, but as the play goes deeper, It gave me more understanding about the culture and traditions of Muslim Filipinos and most especially the Historical background of Iliganons. I, myself also do not know that there is a myth like this and it really changed my mindset about the history of Iliganons.

What I liked most about the play is that it has a big help to the students. It gives them knowledge about the historical background of Muslims and especially the Iliganons. And also to make them realize how it is important to know

On the evening of Saturday October 8th, the cast of the play Fuddy Meers took the stage and put on a unique and exquisite performance. The play took place in the Temple Theatre which I found was a highly interesting venue. There were several different elements that I found greatly intriguing during the course of the ninety minute performance, however, there were a few elements that I felt were also lacking. The first element that I believed helped to add significance to the performance was the stage setup(1). The revolving setup of the stage was perfect for this play and it allowed much versatility for the characters during specific instances.…

Love/Sick is a play that contains lovers and dreamers that look into the agony and the happiness that comes with being in love and in relationships. To begin with, the plot of the play was very straightforward and unmissable. It outlined all the effects, good and bad, that comes with being in a relationship as well as depicting all the dilemmas.…

Alice Walkers “ Everyday Use”, is a story about a family of African-Americans that are faced with moral issues involving what true inheritance is and who deserves it. Two sisters and two hand stitched quilts become the center of focus for this short story. Walker paints for us the most vivid representation through a third person perspective of family values and how people from the same environment and upbringing can become different types of people. This encounter, which takes place when Dee (the only member of the family to receive a formal education) and her male friend return to visit Dee’s mother and younger sister Maggie, is essentially an encounter between two different approaches to African-American culture. Walker highlight the importance…
